Finance Business Partner

Job description

Our UK General Insurance (UK GI) business has started the search for a Finance Business Partner (FBP) to focus on providing financial support and robust challenge to the UK Commercial Lines Teams.

The FBP is crucial in helping the business drive better decision-making and generating operational efficiencies. You will be acting as the primary finance point of contract for certain lines of business, covering all financial matters in these areas.

Some of the responsibilities will involve:

  • Financial and business planning, assisting in shaping of business strategy and supporting the business in delivering results
  • Delivery of expense targets
  • Supporting trading in the interpretation and understanding of the financial data and the implications for the business
  • Working with a range of senior stakeholders and attending a number of meetings to represent the Finance Team
  • Planning, forecasting and monthly MI

Skills & experience we would like to see:

  • Proven experience in a commercially-focused finance role, with business partnering experience preferred
  • A good commercial acumen and knowledge of the insurance business, with a particular focus on London Market/Corporate & Speciality sector
  • Strong financial understanding of general insurance P&L accounts and reporting measures
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified finance professional
