Position Title:  
Pacs Administrator

 

Location:  
Lapeer, MI

 

Work Shift:
Monday – Friday, day shift with potential holidays and weekends required

 

Core Responsibilities:
•       Ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS
•       Coordinate with Systems Services the monitoring of data integrity for Radiology studies
•       Repair broken exams/studies and ensure the integrity of the data in the system
•       Function as a contact to vendors included in the PACS both during the implementation of the system, upgrades and ongoing support
•       Working with appropriate customer staff to develop and document operating procedures (such as downtime procedures, workstations maintenance) and workflow processes, and helping to ensure those processes are effective and followed
•       Provides training to clients on new or changed applications, implementation requirements, procedure modifications and troubleshooting of problems
•       Serves as liaison among internal groups, and between the organization and vendors regarding all digital imaging initiatives
•       Provide on-call services in support of the system
•       Three plus years’ experience in healthcare systems preferably in support of radiology services/systems
•       Strong project management and communication skills required
•       Experience with desktop applications and hardware
•       Experience with business process re-engineering and workflow analysis required
•       Ability to think critically, assess input and develop possible solutions to identified or potential problems 
•       Verbal and written communication skills for a diverse customer base including, executives, technical and administrative staff
•       Excellent analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions/options, evaluate and enable improvement of processes
•       ITIL based incident, problem, and change management understanding.

Minimum Requirements: 
•    High School diploma or equivalent
•    Prior IT experience in healthcare environment
•    Prior experience supporting desktop applications and hardware.
•    Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Prior IT and/or healthcare leadership experience.
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience
•    Strong project management and communication skills required
•    Prior experience working with Radiology Imaging systems supporting PACs environments
