Tasks

As a Java Developer at the Software Technology Center, you will develop customer solutions based on current Java technologies. You are preferably used in projects where modern methods and processes for software development are used (e.g. agile software development, DevOps, infrastructure automation and/or continuous delivery). Depending on the project, the work takes place either in-house or at the customer's site.

Your tasks will also include:
-Active participation in all phases of a software development project
-Creation of applications in the area of Java development that go beyond the functional scope of standard software.
-Preparation of cost estimates / calculation bases
-Creation of technical concepts (e.g. requirements analysis)
-Support during the tendering phase in the preparation of tenders (e.g. analysis of partial aspects of the tender)
-Responsible for the evaluation of new methods or procedures in the field of Java development (e.g. Continuous Delivery, DevOps, etc.)

 

Requirements

For this position you need a completed university education (Bachelor or similar) with specialisation in computer science, business informatics or at least a two-year completed vocational training and additional cross-task specialist knowledge.

In addition, you should have technical know-how in the following technologies:
-Several years of experience in the Java programming language as well as in the Java eco-environment.
-In-depth knowledge of architectural concepts of frameworks and design patterns and their implementation in programming, as well as basic knowledge of UML
-In-depth knowledge of software development using a Java technology stack, e.g. Spring or Java EE
-Experience in programming automated tests (JUnit, Mockito)
-Practical experience with version control systems such as Git and change management systems such as Confluence and Jira
-Experience with current build systems (e.g. Maven or Gradle)
-In-depth knowledge of CI and CD (e.g. Jenkins and Docker)
-In-depth knowledge of agile methods such as Scrum or Kanban
-In-depth knowledge of relational databases
-Ability to work in a team, solution orientation
-Analytical and structured procedure and independent, self-reliant work
-German C2 according to European Framework of Reference for Languages

We expect the willingness to undergo a security audit in accordance with the Security Audit Act (SÜG).
