Position Title:
Digital Workplace Service Engineer – VMware Horizon
Location:
Virtual
Core Responsibilities:
• Design and implement VMware solutions within an enterprise infrastructure
• Defining, creating and implementing global standards & artefacts for responsible technologies (High level designs)
• Assist with product life cycle management & evolution knowledge & capability to support their customer & support business unit growth.
• Pursues up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organization
• Drive and support service creations, Improvement, efficiencies and risk management for their respective service end to end.
Minimum Requirements:
• 5+ years of VMware Horizon View
• Knowledge and working experience with Windows 2008 or later server infrastructures
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Active Directory
• Advanced experience with Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Swim Lanes, Pivot Charts.
• PowerShell script or equivalent demonstrated experience
• 2-year experience with cloud and network topology
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM
• Extensive written and oral communication skills (English)
• Must be able to travel 10% of the time.
• Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Virtual Desktop administration (VMware Horizon View)
• Knowledge or enterprise cloud management and administration (VMware vRA)
• Management of enterprise virtual systems and network topologies (VMware vROPS)
• Virtualization infrastructure experience (VMware vSphere)
• Virtual application packaging and remediation
• Application installation, support, testing, and troubleshooting skills
• Windows desktop administration skills (Microsoft 7 & 10)
• Deployment & configuration automation experience
• DB Administration (MSSQL)
• Backup and restore (NetBackup)
• Scripting automation (PowerShell)
• Knowledge and experience with administration of load balancers (F5/Big-IP)
• System Monitoring
• Requires limited supervision, self-starter, strong time management skills
