Workers' Compensation Assistant Job Description

External Job Description:
Come build the future with Amazon as a Workers' Compensation Assistant. Responsible for assisting and monitoring Amazons Workers Compensation program at designated fulfillment center sites. Responsible for developing and collaborating successful partnerships between associates, Workers' Compensation boards, internal business partners and external service providers

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to assist with Workers' Compensation team by handling the administrative tasks to ensures business is compliant with Province specific Workers' Compensation Regulations and Amazon policies and guidelines. Acts as the point of notification and contact for associates regarding any incident or injury that could or has resulted in a Workers' Compensation claim. Serve as an associate advocate.
· First Initial point of contact to internal and external business partners for the claim to set-up claim file and initiating correspondence
· Internal Correspondence: Point of contact for all documentation regarding incident. This includes internal safety notify and investigation details as well as any health information relevant to the claim from outside medical providers and treatment notes. Health information is limited to medical related to the injury
· External Correspondence: Respond to TPA/Worker's Comp Board requests within 24 hours to ensure diligent case management
· Manage mail both from Canada Post or electronic portal and or e-mail correspondence for diligent record keeping
· Ensures confidentiality of Workers' Compensation claims records; including relevant health information related to the claim & maintain consistent uniform records for each claim
· Request Payroll data as requested by Workers' Compensation Board
· Submit payroll tickets to ensure associates are paid properly while on claim and monitor the payroll system
· Ensure completion of drafts for WC claims reporting purposes adhering to government compliance
· Provide data analytics or reports as directed from the Regional Workers' Compensation Manager
