DESCRIPTION

Wireless HW Production Engineer

We are looking for a L5 wireless hardware production engineer based in Shenzhen to support production builds at various NPI stages. This candidate will focus on qualifying RF test stations and ensuring good RF yields and performance during the builds. Candidate will not only work closely with US RF design team and Shenzhen RF software production team, but also cross-functional teams and contract manufacturer, to identify and resolve RF issues from both PCBA and device levels testing. Candidate will lead and drive Design of Manufacturability (DFM), Failure Analysis (FA) and Design of Experiments (DOE) to streamline the production and mitigate the design risk before entering ramp.
Candidate should have at least 5 years of experience and possess good RF knowledge, in particular if candidate has strong mindset on operational excellence it will be an added advantage. Candidate is required to be familiar with RF requirements on Wi-Fi (802.11), Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRa, and cellular standards such as UMTS. Candidate will pursue cost saving and process improvement via innovative approach.

The Role:

The primary responsibility of this role is to support RF production for Amazon’s wireless products at factory builds. The engineer will work closely with contract manufactures, RF design team, validation team, operation team, to facilitate successful wireless device production. This involves onsite factory support to validate fixtures stability and accuracy for both board and device level RF testing for production that ranges from low to high volume, and with ability to identify root cause of failures during production builds and resolve them in a timely manner. Beside RF production supports, the candidate will get involved in innovative process improvement initiatives, and has the freedom to build and experiment his own ideas that improves cost and efficiency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master degree
· Excellent failure analysis, and hand on RF hardware design and troubleshooting experience
· Knowledge of RF Calibration for various standards such as 3GPP, IEEE802.11
· Experience in LoRa and Radar technology
· Experience in program management and CM management
· Experience in factory process

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Engineering Degree, preferably Electrical Engineering with hands on experience in debugging RF circuits, failure analysis and functional verification.
· Minimum 5 years of technical working experience in high volume manufacturing, preferably in mobile phone, tablets, modules, and IoT products
· Understand RF parameters from specifications IEEE802.11 and 3GPP (for LTE/WCDMA/GSM)
· Experience to test sets such as Litepoint IQ series, Anritsu8870A, Agilent8960, Anritsu8820 or CMW500 for RF testing
· Exposure to factory RF testing, and experience in failure analysis and DOEs
· Exposure to automated production fixtures; shielding boxes and antennas; RF probing methods and RF calibration
· Knowledgeable in production control processes, data analysis/interpretation GR&R, Cp/Cpk and correlation analysis.
· Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiency.
· Able to travel for build support
