Alexa is the ground-breaking, cloud-based intelligent assistant that powers Echo and other devices designed around your voice. The Alexa Trust team is building products and mechanisms to earn and maintain customer trust globally. We are the team chartered to safeguard customers’ expectations on trust and privacy across all Alexa experiences.

We are searching for a User Experience Designer who will own the design for Privacy and Customer Feedback features used by customers on the Alexa mobile app and Alexa devices with screens.

Responsibilities:
· Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings
· Design the interface and interaction flows of experiences that bridge voice, multimodal, web, and mobile applications
· Collaborate directly with VUI designers and the Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points
· Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements
· Collaborate directly with software engineers to bring the resulting designs and vision to market
· Direct the visual design of the web and mobile applications
· Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes
· Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications
· Present design work to the design team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to extract complex concepts and quickly turn around detailed flows and mockups or prototypes reflecting a range of options
· Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
· Ability to communicate, present, and gracefully defend your team’s design decisions
· Experience with multiple platforms and form factors, including smartphone, tablet, multi-modal, and wearables
· Experience building voice-based products and services is a plus

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 3+ years of experience as an interaction designer, user interface designer, conversational designer or similar role
· Experience with Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud, or their functional equivalents
· Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent design-related field, or commensurate industry experience
