· You'll be designing experiences from the ground up. This is a huge opportunity to think big about delivering exciting and helpful features, beautiful visuals, and elegant new experiences for Amazon customers - we want it to be AMAZING!
· You'll be working on the “Hardlines Customer Experience (HCX)” team, which means you will you will use your creative vision to create all new premium shopping experiences on Amazon for multiple product categories, giving you variety in your work!
· You'll get to work in many different user experiences: search, browse, PC, mobile, tablet, and on custom features for each of these that you get to invent!
What you'll work on:
The Hardlines Customer Experience team is seeking a passionate and customer-centric UX Designer to reimagine the digital shopping UX for a growing number of product categories that millions of customers shop each week across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. We are looking for a designer interested in pushing the boundaries of design at Amazon to build amazing digital experiences.

We're looking for ways to answer these questions:
· How can we create an insightful and truly joyful browsing experience that understands our customer's interests & needs?
· What are our customer's needs after purchase? What would those experiences look like?
· How can we deliver personalized recommendations and advice from experts in every product category?
· How can we bring the Sports Fan Experience to the next level on Amazon?
· How can we help customers finds parts and accessories and be confident that they fit?
How we work:
· The UX Design team is responsible for thinking up amazing customer experiences and working with others to share our vision and make our ideas a reality.
· We think beyond static page designs, and think about how UIs will function to create a more useful and delightful experience for our customers.
· We design with both qualitative and quantitative data, test our concepts, iterate, and repeat.
· We have daily ideation exercises, and regularly review and pursue exciting ideas.

The Ideal Candidate:
· You're optimistic, but critical thinker, able to build upon other's ideas as well as generate your own. Just as well, you can navigate the organization and get people on board to make your ideas happen
· You have both UX acumen and visual layout/design skills.
· You can prototype your concepts quickly, and match the fidelity of your designs to the maturity of the project.
· You can leverage data to evolve your hypotheses into the right creative solutions
· You thrive in a team environment, and have a knack for getting people on board with your ideas
· You're detail-oriented and a go-getter with strong communication skills – both written and verbal
· You're naturally curious and passionate about learning. You keep up with industry news and techniques
· You're not afraid to do a little guerilla usability.
· You have experience working with core partner design teams and designing for scale across a broad set of use cases.
· You have experience with design systems, both identifying and reusing common patterns, and contributing new patterns when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
· Excellent communication (written and spoken), presentation, and interpersonal skills
· High UX design quality standards.
· Ability to create and test high fidelity prototypes, as well as document and present your findings.
· Ability to “think big” – you design simple and elegant solutions to complex UX problems.

· The ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great stunning user interfaces is a requirement for application
· Bachelor's degree in graphic design or equivalent professional experience
· 3+ years of experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other on-device applications
· A portfolio that demonstrates stylistic breadth for diverse media (web/mobile/brand)
· Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
· Expert skill level in Adobe Creative Suite
· Track record of good time management, prioritizing projects and estimating work
· Expertise in designing solutions for retail search systems
· Demonstrated ability to partner with centralized design teams, such as search and other stakeholders
