Transportation Analyst, Direct Fulfillment

DESCRIPTION

Amazon’s Direct Fulfillment team is seeking team members who are enthusiastic about the customer experience and interested in tackling the most challenging logistics and supply chain problems on the planet. We are looking for a Transportation Analyst to join a team that identifies, creates, develops and integrates innovative solutions that lead to improvements in our Direct Fulfillment transportation network worldwide.
The successful candidate is passionate about the customer experience, has experience working in supply chain or technology, and strives for operational excellence. You should be comfortable working with ambiguities, adept at learning new tools and systems, in a fast-paced environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and working with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Manage the day-to-day interactions with business partners in worldwide operations, product, and technology teams with a focus on continuous improvements in transportation performance, capacity, and cost through transportation configurations
· Support large-scale projects relating to transportation network expansion and improvements
· Design, develop, and implement solutions to more effectively utilize technical configuration and automation to deliver tangible operational and customer benefits
· Deliver results through extensive cross functional integration with multiple amazon internal technology and business execution teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven experience working with transportation systems and IT professionals
· Experience leveraging technology (queries, excel, IT solutions etc.) to drive process improvements
· Background in Project Management, Analysis in a related industry
· Proficient with SQL (or other query language(s))

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field
· Proficient working in advanced Excel, experience working with large dataset
· History of collaboration and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done (No job is too large, no job is too small)
· 2+ years of related work experience
