DESCRIPTION

Under the purview of Global Security Operations (GSO), the mission of Global Risk Management (GRM) is to provide internal customers a best in class risk mitigation program focused on the ability to anticipate, identify, and prioritize risk impacting WW Operations and Customer Service. As a Support Engineer you will build and maintain Global Risk and Continuity solutions, including design and implementation of requirements, modeling metadata, building reports and platform administration. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who possess the ability to design, develop and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges while driving these solutions to completion. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to interface and work within multi-disciplinary teams. Ability to identify and resolve issues independently in a rapidly changing environment; taking initiative in ambiguous circumstances. This is a nonexempt, Seattle based role and relocation is not provided.

Core Responsibilities:
• Support administrative functions, such as 3rd party vendor relations.
• Coordinate development execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendor; monitor and enforce technology project schedules and quality with vendors.
• Formulate analytical business problem statements, executing the analysis and presenting insights in crisp business language.
• Evaluate issues, prioritize, and propose actionable resolutions to ensure the team works on the highest impact projects and earns stakeholder trust.
• Maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
• Support application troubleshooting and user testing as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering).
• Relevant experience in one of the following areas: data science, data engineering, business intelligence or business analytics.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and effectively communicate technical information to internal/external customers who are both technical and non-technical.
• Track record for being detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion.
• Ability to effectively articulate and present technical challenges and solutions, strong problem solving abilities
• Experience in writing data modeling and data mining, and using databases in a business environment with large complex datasets (including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL).
• Experience with data extraction using SQL, ad-hoc reporting, manipulation of raw data, creation and updating of pivot tables and metrics presentations.
