Job description

DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join a team that creates documentation for customers analyzing security data for your AWS resources. Our documentation plays a vital role in getting customers up and running quickly. Our technical writers ensure that AWS products are clearly described in documentation that is accurate and useful.

For a look at the documentation for these services, see the following:
· AWS Security Hub: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/securityhub/
· Amazon GuardDuty: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/guardduty/
· Amazon Macie:https://docs.aws.amazon.com/macie/
Ideally, you have both a technical background that enables easy interaction with software developers and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation that helps customers. If you have created documentation for system administrators, it is a plus.

Your responsibilities as a technical writer include creating conceptual information, step-by-step procedures, API descriptions, and example commands. Be one of the first to try new features as you work with developers and designers to improve the related user experience, UI text, error messages, and API design. Interact directly with customers and use their feedback to improve the documentation dynamically, then update and publish your documentation on demand. Work with peer writers and editors to improve your writing and grow professionally as a technical communicator.

To see whether this position is right for you, sign up for AWS and try some of the tutorials in our documentation.
