DESCRIPTION

Do you want to work on building an exciting new product from the ground up? AWS Special Projects team is seeking a customer-obsessed, multi-talented, and deadline-oriented Technical Trainer to build and grow training programs for a new AWS Product. If you have previous technical development and training experience and can communicate these concepts to audiences at different levels of technical acumen, we’d like to speak with you. The ideal candidate is a creative and tech-savvy adult learning expert with experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities. The role requires an individual who can innovate, move quickly, and work in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a fast-growing business, and to drive significant value for customers.

As a Technical Trainer, you will create and deliver high-quality, scalable learning experiences for a growing learning community to drive adoption and usage of a new AWS product. You’ll have an opportunity to combine a passion for teaching, with enthusiasm for technology, to drive learning and establish positive customer relationships. You will have excellent communication skills and proven technology training experience.

Responsibilities:
· Design and develop learner-centered, outcome-based training materials
· Collaborate with customers to gather learning requirements and feedback
· Support learning content projects through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, and launch; providing clear timelines through all phases, communicating with key partners, and selecting appropriate measurement for successful implementation
· Deliver instructional materials (tutorial, digital interactives, user guides, audio and video scripts, story boards, etc.) that transform technical information into professionally written, engaging instruction
· Identify and monitor metrics that inform and validate content quality, usage, business impact, and scalability
· Earn trust with and be the voice of the customer, ensuring customer needs are at the forefront of our content efforts and help our team iterate and improve on our content offerings
· Work on team projects that deliver impact and influence to increase customer engagement and conversion

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts
· Experience communicating technical concepts and processes using clear, simple language and visuals; conducting quality analysis reviews of online instructional materials; and writing and editing skills
· Experience producing and delivering impactful video content
· Relentlessly high standards and an eye for detail
· History of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
· Practical experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologies
· Passion for technology and learning technology
· Demonstrated obsession regarding the customer experience; continually inspiring others to do better for the customer
· History of sparking improvements in learning strategy and content through collaboration and prototyping
