Title: Technical Program Manager II

Location: Sumner, WA

Position Responsibilities:

Study, learn, and diagnose Amazon fulfilment operational processes including identifying controls and integration improvement opportunities, prescribing improvement strategies and guiding the control systems improvement effort. Recommend and implement changes to product design, safety procedures, and work methods. Conduct multiple weekly standing meetings with internal team leads and program managers and vendors to plan and track deliverables. Lead controls design reviews and propose solutions for material handling and storage systems that meet both business needs and leverage global design standardization. Create, submit and develop program management systems including, schedules and budget tracking for the controls automation team. Create and document layouts, reliability engineering planning, Controls Block Diagrams Flow Diagram, Process Path and Controls Strategy. Lead deep dives on technical details and lead root cause analysis resolution. Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests. Lead critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays. Work in close collaboration with advanced Technology Engineering, working across multiple time zones.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mechatronics or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. One year of experience must involve the following skill(s): (1) coordinating overall end-to-end equipment technology development, conceptual design and detail design, including performing TUV certification and final integration; (2) Working with Ms excel, AutoCAD, and Ms project; (3) utilizing software for technical document writing such as VISIO, word, excel, or PowerPoint; (4) developing innovative automation control systems with equipment suppliers, laboratories and manufacturing plants; (5) Hands-on experience in programming PLCs, HMI/SCADA, robotics (fanuc/abb), and machine functional safety design; and (6) demonstrated Knowledge of programming languages such as C+, java, or python API to interface with PLC controls.
