To serve its customers globally, Amazon operates businesses and technology platforms that handle some of the largest transaction volumes of any company on earth. The Finance Technology (FinTech) organization works with every part of Amazon to capture, compute, transact, and report their financial events. When a customer orders a banana slicer on Amazon.com in France, watches an episode of Mr. Robot on Prime Instant Video in the US, downloads an e-book on their Kindle from a beach in Brazil, or spins up a spot EC2 instance on AWS in China, they feed into a continuous petabyte-scale stream of global events moving through the company’s technology ecosystem. We harness these data streams to pay Amazon’s suppliers, bill our customers, enable financial analysis and planning, and to report our financial results at many different levels of aggregation to internal and external customers.

The FinTech team in Amsterdam is looking for a Technical Oracle e-Business Suite Analyst with expertise in Financials to play a key role designing, implementing, and extending the applications used in Amazon. This position will be responsible for the functional design, configuration and support of applications with a primary focus on the global deployment of applications within the e-Business suite. Core activities will include gathering and defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, gap analysis, functional design of application extensions, and end user support for multiple modules in multiple geographies.

Job Responsibilities
• Interact with business customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements.
• Perform gap analysis to determine e-Business suite system configuration and development changes.
• Create business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents and implementation documents.
• Work with the business and development team to design and implement system modifications.
• Work with business customers, developers and Oracle Support to research, document and resolve Oracle system issues.
• Create SQL queries against Oracle tables to troubleshoot, develop metrics, and create ad-hoc reporting as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with AWS
· Experience integrating subsidiaries into existing financial systems

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Functional knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite R12 in a multi-organization and multi-set of books environment.
· Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a similar engineering field
· 5+ years of experience working with Oracle Financials supporting more than one of the following applications: General Ledger, Cash Management, Account Receivables , Accounts Payables, Purchasing, Iexpense, Fixed Assets and Cash Management.
· Knowledge of the underlying Oracle tables, integration points and technology processes are critical to success in this role.
· The ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise and to work with both technical and non-technical individuals
