Senior System Development Engineer - PiCX

PiCX (Pipeline and Customer Experience) team is part of CaDET (Catalog and Data Engineering) Org in chennai and responsible to deliver infrastructure and customer experience solutions for all digital businesses using our Catalog Management and Pricing Platforms worldwide.
PiCX team is looking for talented Senior System Development Engineer to design and create technology solutions to optimize the pipeline infrastructure and enrich customer experience with rich UIs. You will invent, design and implement solutions to reduce operational burden and ensure the services are highly reliable.

Senior System development Engineers in PiCX team works with business teams closely to understand challenges & demands and invent new systems. The Senior System Development Engineers in PiCX team will have expertise in the domain and implement projects & enhancements that improve the systems and processes. They will identify patterns that affect performance, reliability or availability of the services and drive them out of the systems using automations and new innovations. Some of the key job functions of the senior system development engineers are:

· You will invent, design and build systems that are stable and performant. You will also review design and implementations done by others.
· You take on projects and make enhancements that improves systems and processes. You will work on the Project ideas with customers, stakeholders and Peers.
· You will work on the rootcause of the complex problems, leaving the systems better and easier to maintain.
· You focus on Operational Excellence, constructively identify problems and propose solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Technical Skills
· B.E. in Computer Science or a related field.
· Experience working in large scale software development environment
· Experience in contributing to system development and automation. (Using C/C++/Java)
· Experience in developing UIs
· Experience in taking a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project
· Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
Required Technical Skills
· B.E. in Computer Science or a related field.
· 6+ years of experience in large scale software development environment
· 4+ years of experience in system development and automation using C/C++/Java or in developing Uis/APIs
· 4+ years of experience in any of the scripting languages
· Good knowledge in Linux and other system maintenance activities
· Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
