Role: Ruby/Python Developer - EU Inventory Control Program

In this position you work within the Business Intelligence team to develop tools and analyze data for the Inventory Control & Quality Assurance business of our EU logistic centers.
You cooperate with Inbound, Outbound, and Inventory Control operations to dive deep into data to determine root cause of defects, build and maintain decision support tools, and present findings to business partners to drive improvements.

What do you do in the Developer EU Program role?
You solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and best practices. You are able to formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, write new code, and test/debug new programs. Building and maintaining of multiple databases, extensive knowledge of software applications to create tools, and understanding of multiple programming languages. Develop websites using HTML, Ruby on Rails, and JavaScript empowering users throughout the FC to better innovate process improvements, create and track critical action items, and resolve issues. Responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a software that enables innovative Amazon Key experiences.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in Information Technology
· 2+ years professional experience of software development experience with cross-team collaboration
· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
· Knowledge of the programming language: Ruby on Rails and Python. Java will be advantage
· Perform statistical analysis and provide key insights
· You are results-driven with analytical skills and the ability to innovate and simplify current processes and practices
· You should have strong decision making skills, that use sound reasoning and when required use consultation to achieve consensus
· Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
