Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

The Role:
As an RF Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive and design innovative product solutions. You will work closely with colleagues throughout Project Kuiper’s inter-disciplinary team, and engage third party suppliers, in order to drive key aspects of product definition, execution and optimization. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

As a member of the RF Systems Integration team, you will be responsible for implementation of wireless system and physical layer performance of multiple wireless components. This includes the development and optimization of RF systems from baseband modems to antenna.

In this role you will:
· Work within a project team and take responsibility for high bandwidth wireless implementation
· Meet with suppliers to select components
· Implement, validate, and optimize RF circuits
· Analyze and mitigate potential self and other system interference issues
· RF link budget / line-up planning and filter requirements definition
· Take the product through development, testing, potential operator testing, ramp up and sustaining
· Work with software, mechanical engineering, baseband and compliance teams

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
· Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, or similar broadband wireless standards.
· Hands on experience with RF lab equipment including VNA, power meters, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generators
· Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills
· Experience with communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems and RF engineering

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent experience
· 5+ years of experience in RF design with successfully launched products
· Experience in wireless system design and architecture, system integration, RF system analysis
· Hands on experience with RF simulation software
