DESCRIPTION

We are looking for exceptional scientists and engineers to join our Amazon Science Group. This exciting new group will have a site in Tuebingen, Germany. It will combine the possibility to perform deep scientific work with an unparalleled empowerment to have impact and change the world.
We hire outstanding talent (at all levels) to perform high-risk long-term ML science, develop technology leadership evidenced by publication in the leading conferences of the field, and enable deployment of cutting edge ML technology. Research science at Amazon is a highly experimental activity. Besides theoretical analysis and innovation, our scientists also work closely with software engineers to put algorithms into practice. They also work on cross-disciplinary efforts with other scientists within Amazon.
The interests of Amazon and its customers span the whole range of artificial intelligence. Our research areas will broad encompassing areas of CV, ML, AI, NLP, Deep Learning, Causality. Our Tuebingen location has relationships with many of the top scientists in their field.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· PhD in computer science or related fields
· 3+ years of research or industry experience in relevant scientific field
· Outstanding academic track record as evidenced by top tier publications
· Strong algorithm development experience
· Skills with Java, C++, or other programming language, as well as with R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language
