DESCRIPTION

Reliability Engineer
The Reliability engineer will lead the reliability engineering and operations activities through the device execution phase process. Accountable for managing new device programs through the company’s development. The Reliability Program Manager will closely work with core tam and contract manufactures to manage system builds and reliability qualification in China, as well as conducting/driving failure analysis for issue resolution.
1. Manage system engineering builds in Asia as Rel role. 
2. Manage contract manufacturer for correct and on-time reliability test execution.
3. Report reliability execution progress and issues, and track the issues from creation to closure.
4. Drive and cooperate with cross-functional teams on failure analysis and corrective actions for issues discovered during test.
6. Manage NPI to mass production transfer, to ensure consistent reliability qualification test, and stable reliability level for product at different manufacturing sites.
5. Evaluate and develop reliability test methodologies or process for continuous improvement. 
6. Support factory escalations/ post ramp qualification/Component level reliability.
7. Prepared to travel extensively in China and southeast of Asia.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience as an Engineering Manager with expertise in reliability, product development processes and a proven track record delivering high volume electronic devices to market.
· Experienced with failure analysis techniques to isolate failure for EE or ME issues.
· Solid reliability knowledge, statistical knowledge and be able to use reliability and statistical method to do data analysis, provide risk assessment and life forecast.
· Experienced with dealing with high volume manufacturing sites in Asia and, ideally, worked with several different OEM/ODM partners.
· Experienced with cross functionally managing a diverse group of engineering, operations and product management professional proficient at creating and tracking complex development schedules, managing issues and tracking bugs.
· Background in consumer electronics (audio, wireless devices preferred).
· Solid understanding product development phases.
· Strong communication and leadership skills required. Fluent written and verbal English communication are must.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, material engineering, mechanical engineering or related fields.
· 5 years experience as reliability engineering lead or reliability engineering project manager.
· Good understanding of product reliability testing and life time evaluation.
· Strong technical problem solving skills and experience with failure analysis techniques.
· Strong team work spirit, team leader preferred.
· Excellent bi-lingual (Chinese & English) written and verbal communication skills required.
· Good ability in multi-task and handling a large number of tasks at once.
