DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance (ERMC) team is responsible for addressing enterprise risks to Amazon businesses. One way in which the team executes on this responsibility is through ownership of Amazon’s Global Denied Party Screening (DPS) systems and processes. The DPS Program implements screening standards and procedures to mitigate Amazon’s risk of conducting unauthorized business with a denied party or sanctioned country or region. The DPS Quality Compliance Team is responsible for ensuring that Denied Party and Sanctions screening investigations are carried out in accordance with internal standards and policies, monitoring and ensuring the accuracy of Sanctions investigations through audits and recommending process improvements based on defect analysis.
The Quality Compliance Analyst is responsible for auditing the work of investigators, finding trends based on audit output, aggregating audit data based on findings, identifying root causes and working with Operations teams and Support Engineers/Developers to fix errors and prevent recurrence of the identified errors. The Quality Compliance Analyst will also work directly with Operations team partners as needed to improve the quality of investigations by giving feedback, responding to audit disputes, and managing mentor support. Additionally, this roles requires management of Quality Data, working with Program Managers and Technical teams on Quality Technical requirements.

Key responsibilities of the position are:
· Audit, track, maintain and report out on Denied Party and Sanctions Screening investigations
· Analyze and provide objective, actionable feedback based on the trends surfaced, support process improvements and report on emerging trends
· Act as point of contact for process and quality related queries
· Produce business and stakeholder correspondence as needed
· Maintain and develop Sanctions Compliance process subject matter expertise
· Liaise with the Operations and other business teams to achieve the compliance, operational and business goals assigned
· Build Quality technical requirements
· Establish and maintain data integrity of Quality Program data

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·
· Advanced MS Excel ability (including VBA), ability to efficiently analyze data, and produce professional reports
· Experience with QA methodologies and tools including Lean Six Sigma
· Two years’ Quality Auditing Process experience
· Demonstrated knowledge of Denied Party Sanctions requirements and experience working with sanctions screening systems or other Compliance fields such as AML
· Regulatory and compliance (OFAC/BIS/DOS) experience
· Experience utilizing SQL
· Experience with Java Script
· Advanced analytics background
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Understanding of statistics, e.g. averages, trend, outliers, charting
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Ability to deliver results by influencing team members
· Fluency in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian or Turkish
· Fluency in Arabic
· Internal DPS applicants: Must meet or exceed established Quality Goals

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (at least 4 years’ of quality or data analytics work)
· 2+ years of Compliance or Quality Audit work experience
