Title: Quality Assurance Engineer I

Worksite: Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities:

Lead the testing of large‐scale distributed systems, create test plans, test cases, and drive continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes using cloud technologies and the AWS ecosystem including EC2, S3 and DynamoDB. Design, develop, and execute quality assurance test cases and support tests for large‐scale, distributed database software systems using Java and Python including white and black box tests, system and load tests. Work closely with engineers, technical owners, and customer service professionals throughout the development and testing lifecycle, including the requirements gathering and design. Consult with and advise management and development teams on technical issues related to planning, developing, implementing, and modifying testing procedures. Use functional specifications to plan, create, or sign‐off on test plans, test cases, and automated test cases. Provide regular, detailed status report on project progress, including test cases executed, bugs discovered, and bugs fixed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered, or as a programmer/analyst software test developer, or a related occupation. Must have two years of experience in the following skill(s): developing tests for large‐scale software systems using Java or Python in a Linux environment; and documenting and coordinating the deployment of automated tests for complex systems.
