As a Quality Assurance Engineer for the Spoken Word domain within Alexa Entertainment, you will be the single threaded owner for quality assurance, automation scripts, verification across device matrix and locale for Spoken Word domain in Alexa. You will be responsible for owning the end-to-end testing, test case planning, coordinate with larger Alexa QA team to influence/leverage QA best practices and working closely with Device Associate (remote) and SDET for manual and automation execution of our test cases. You will have an enormous opportunity to work cross functionally with engineers, product, scientists, linguists and voice designers. You will work on cutting edge products that will be used every day by people you know. You will test back-end services, device testing, mobile app development and integration with 3P partners.

Spoken Word is a relatively new domain for Alexa, which offers a unique opportunity to build brand new voice experiences from the ground up. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the vision of the quality assurance team, automation charter, integration with various end points along with device matrix. A successful candidate will have an established background in building solid quality assurance charter, hiring/developing team, familiarity with mobile/device development, strong problem solving skills, excellent organizational skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working on devices and voice experience
· Experience measuring software quality
· Experience working with remote teams
· Can propose tradeoffs and provide risk assessment to stakeholders
· Problem-solving skills and the abilities to analyze quantitatively and effectively prioritize deliverables.
· Proven track record of creating and executing on highly effective quality processes
· Experience launching multiple releases with multiple dependencies
· Experience with performance and scalability testing
· Experience with multiple coding/scripting languages and test automation technologies
· Understanding of technical architecture and program management

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of quality assurance experience
· 3+ years of relevant testing experience.
· Experience scripting test cases and building automation framework
