Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) – Emerging Technology team powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates the software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers, which move billions of units of inventory and ensures customers get what they want when promised. Within AFT, we are constantly innovating in the ways we are automating and accelerating the delivery of products and packages using state of the art software and hardware technologies. We develop software by applying Advanced Algorithms and Real-Time Data processing using large scale distributed systems. We utilize OO programming languages, Hadoop, Elastic Map Reduce, DynamoDB and other AWS technologies to build solutions that that solve our challenges, ranging from scaling for massive Amazon order volume to ultrafast order fulfillment.

These software solutions will directly impact Amazon's customers from product selection and order placement, to delivering products to our customers as quickly and cost effectively as possible.
Our team is looking for a highly motivated, customer centric Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) with a deep understanding of latest test methodologies and techniques.

What you'll do?
· Design and implement test strategies to achieve CI/CD
· Create test plans, test cases and drive continuous improvements to the quality assurance processes
· Build automated test cases for frontend and backend
· Execute periodic manual and automated test cases
· Investigate and reproduce bugs and drive fixes through test and production stages
· Build scripts to automate critical tests
· Interpret and report testing results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
· Own QA for large scale systems
· Work with Dev and QA engineers to develop best practices for software quality assurance across multiple software teams
· Engage in design and development of quality infrastructure that encourages the optimal combination of component/integration and end to end tests

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
· 5+ years of Software QA experience
· Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
· Have experience in defining test strategy spanning across multiple systems, writing test plans, test automation
· Have experience owning QA for large scale systems
· Working knowledge of common automation frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG
· Obsession with quality and customer experience - Attention to detail coupled with ability to think abstractly
