Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking is looking for world class candidate to lead our Alliance sales efforts at one of AWS' most Strategic Accounts. As Alliance Manager within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the exciting opportunity to deliver on our strategy to build mind share and adoption of the AWS computing platform. Responsibilities include owning the co-selling relationship, and driving sales acceleration and marketing programs directly with the AWS and Customer's field sales teams. The ideal candidate will possess a business development background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as extensive sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding sales related goals with enterprise customers and partners. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop and Execute Global Enterprise Lighthouse Account engagement plans to target key industry segments and named accounts.

Engage with Customer, AWS Field sales and joint customers acting as the Field Sales Expert focused on the unique aspects of the AWS relationship.

Ensure successful execution of sales acceleration programs. Ensure programs influence and yield sales revenue and measurable results.

Facilitate meaningful engagement between AWS and Strategic Account teams.

Ensure execution of field focused joint solutions initiatives including Machine Learning, , IoT, Mobile, etc.

Drive a rigorous rhythm of reporting and communications to keep key stakeholders well informed and engaged in key decisions.

Role may sit in Chicago or San Francisco

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of sales management and/or business development experience in the technology/cloud services industry.

Ability to create and meet joint solution and GTM strategies and tactical plans.

Consistently exceed quota and key performance metrics.

Demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level executives.

Presentation skills: the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
Demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models.

Familiarity with cloud and enterprise datacenter products, services, market positioning and sales strategies

Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
