DESCRIPTION

Identity is a core component of any cloud platform. Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cognito is the service that allows AWS customers to use multiple identity providers (such as Facebook, Amazon, Google, or others), to sign in to their web or mobile applications. Do you have the programming skills to help customers improve the traffic to their web and mobile applications?

Do you want to work with developers and customers to create world-class documentation for an industry-leading cloud platform? As a Programmer Writer working on Cognito you'll document the service and its API reference. You'll explain Identity concepts and connect them to the AWS platform. You'll also create real-world code samples that customers can use right away!

The documentation team executes this role by delivering content that gets customers up and running quickly, and making sure product details are clearly described and easy to follow.

An ideal candidate has a technical background that enables them to engage Software Development Engineers, Program Managers, customers and partners. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality technical publications.

Key Responsibilities:
· Drive the development of the Cognito documentation
· Independently follow designs and standards to develop and deliver documentation
· Create and edit code samples
· Produce conceptual, how-to, and API reference documentation
· Help define writing projects
· Assess market feedback on service adoption

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· A minimum of 5 years in a technical writing or coding role
· Proven experience designing and delivering developer-oriented documentation, including following a style guide
· Ability to write example code in one or more for the following programming languages: JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Swift, Objective-C
· Experienced using multiple documentation tools to develop base templates and manipulate output styles
· Experience with XML-based publishing systems
· Experience working directly with development teams
