DESCRIPTION

This Principal Supply Chain Leader will provide thought leadership across the IT supply chain. S/he will be leading long-term scalable solutions within the OpsTech IT leadership team. The goal of the Principal Supply Chain leader is to lead strategies for improved financial and strategic performance and successfully deliver end-to-end supply chain projects. This role requires a seasoned communicator, that has the ability to communicate expectations and requirements equally well with external and internal leadership teams, and the capacity to write well-reason and data-driven proposals.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain SME who is excited about building best-in-class solutions for the OpsTech IT team, and understands the value of automation and innovation. This is a hands on technology position where you will be asked to do everything from building processes, managing special projects for customers, design and development and executing the strategic 3-yr plan for Supply Chain. You need to not only be a Supply Chain SME with a track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus. A successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise of demand and supply and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to deliver solid results that have broad business impact.

In this role, you will:
· Develop and execute business objectives by writing requirements, creating processes, quantifying and prioritizing improvement opportunities, and driving performance to meet Supply Chain goals, in a highly ambiguous environment.
· Design supply chain solutions for multiple customers, partnering with other Amazon businesses where possible.
· Perform analysis to identify opportunities and set priorities; predictability is key.
· Work with partners to understand and influence their processes for inventory management, transportation, capacity planning, and labor planning.
· Be accountable for ideation, design and development of supply chain capabilities and infrastructure.
· Collect, synthesize and communicate analytics and insights to drive strategies and decision making for executives.
· Advance end-to-end material flow strategies to optimize availability, service and cost across all of the supply chain organization.
· Develop and implement playbooks and actions to drive a culture of continuous optimization with the supply chain organization.
· Create support models to proactively support future business needs.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent related experience
· 7+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or program management within a fast paced metrics driven environment
· Proven ability to manipulate and analyze complex data sets
· Strong data analysis, problem solving and project management skills
· Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects
· Demonstrated customer focus and experience releasing products and programs to market
· History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
· Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Detail orientation with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
