Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess both deep technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills. As a Solution Architect within AWS, you will have the opportunity to help our customers develop solutions that address their business needs and challenges using Amazon's rich portfolio of web services (e.g. Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS IoT and Amazon Sagemaker) with our customers.

Your responsibilities will include: establishing technical credibility of the AWS platform in customer interactions, owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

You will get the chance to help customers architect their new applications on AWS, build demos, do Well-Architected reviews of their new and existing workloads running on AWS, perform migration assessments to help customers re-platform or refactor their existing architectures to cloud-native solutions, with the goal of ensuring that your customers architectures have high security, reliability and performance, follow best practices for operational excellence and are also optimized for cost.

In addition to direct customer interactions, you will help us define and convey best practices to large audiences by authoring publicly available content (e.g. blogs, whitepapers, bootcamps, demos, sample code), and by presenting technical talks at public events such as Re:invent, AWS Summits, AWS webinars, tech conferences, and internal tech forums. You will also help drive the definition of the AWS platform by providing input from the field to the engineering teams

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, has customer facing skills that will allow her/him to lead discussions with senior personnel as well as a technical background that enables her/him to easily interact and give guidance with software developers and architects. She/he should also have a demonstrated ability to address business and technical challenges, and a willingness to help all of our customers benefit from the advantages offered by AWS.

The position is available at the following locations: Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Duesseldorf or Berlin.

Responsibilites:
· As a key member of the solution architecture team, ensure success in building and migrating software applications, and platforms on the AWS platform
· Partner with the account management team, formulate and execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
· Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful operations in the cloud
· Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS
· Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solutions architect community
· Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers
· Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates
· Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
· This role will require domestic travel up to 30%
