AWS Professional Services team members leverage their deep knowledge of AWS technologies in collaboration with our sales and partner teams to propose, architect, and implement transformational solutions for customers. Helping make customer success a reality using AWS cloud as an enabler and seeing the impact in real-time drives our teams to explore new frontiers in leveraging AWS for our customers. On the AWS platform, services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, Kinesis, AI and others provide opportunities to design and build cloud-ready applications.

AWS is looking for talented hands-on technical architects and senior developers to help accelerate our growing Professional Services business. Here in Professional Services, we engage in a wide variety of business-critical, high-profile projects for customers and partners and help them better leverage the ever-evolving AWS platform.

Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects, and developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

The ideal candidate will possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent Amazon well within a customer's environment and drive discussions with senior customer personnel, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance with software developers and architects. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively about business, product, and technical scenarios.

Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.

We are looking for hands-on architects and developers who will:
· Work as a technical collaborator alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams
· Facilitate technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practices
· Architect and building highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core services like API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and ECS.
· Migrate monolithic applications to micro services architectures and leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)
· Advise on implementing AWS best practices and influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise
· Represent the voice for developers internally and influence our AWS Professional Services offerings and AWS product strategy for developers by working with AWS platform engineering, Business Development and other cross-functional teams
This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in the design and implementation of complex IT solutions (including scalable cloud-based solutions)
· Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with CTOs, enterprise architects, IT management, and developers
· Familiarity with the DevOps philosophy, practices, and tools
· Experience in infrastructure, database and networking architecture for highly available, internet-scale applications
· Knowledge of the latest developments in NoSQL databases, Containers, and Real time analytics solutions.
