As we expand internationally and continuously innovate, AWS is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Physical Security Analyst with strong interpersonal skills, expertise in physical security operations and risk mitigation, and a proven record of driving and achieving security across an organization. As a member of the AWS Security Emerging Region Assessments Team, you will have a unique opportunity to develop and iterate innovative approaches to strengthen security as AWS expands globally.

AWS Physical Security Analysts drive risk mitigation strategies with Amazon teams worldwide. In this role, you will identify and develop security solutions that drive reusable controls to the maximum extent possible, while remaining agile to adapt to changing threats and the unique attributes of a particular location. The ideal candidate will have expertise in applying physical security standards and principles globally, the ability to influence people from customers to managers through win-win solutions, and the desire to be an individual contributor in securing Amazon's cloud. Critical to this role are familiarity with real-life applications of physical security solutions, experience conducting data collection and analysis to drive security decision-making, strong communication skills, and the ability to use a multitude of collaborative tools.

You will be expected to manage tasks across a diverse customer base, while remaining agile to align with rapidly changing priorities. The successful candidate must be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with detailed execution, coping with ambiguity, identifying and facing big challenges, and adjusting to frequent change. The ability to foster relationships with teams across Amazon will be critical to developing timely and effective risk mitigation options for nuanced security threats. Finally, the candidate must have a strong understanding of risk-based decision-making and be able to make critical judgment calls on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities will include:
· Identify, develop, and document risk mitigation options for a diverse array of security threats Amazon faces across the globe;
· Clearly articulate the end-to-end utility and applications of physical security solutions, including benefits, shortfalls, trade offs, or special considerations of a security strategy within a unique environment;
· Collect, analyze, and present relevant data to validate existing security strategies, look around corners, and proactively innovate, iterate, and continuously raise the security bar;
· Build and maintain relationships within Amazon and externally to develop security solutions and other deliverables aligned with customer needs and schedules;
· Write documents and brief stakeholders to clearly and effectively communicate the desired outcome;
· Drive creative solutions and automation to optimize delivery and availability of security solutions services to internal security teams and region build customers.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and certifications in a related security field;
· Minimum of 3 years of industry experience with a proven track record of developing security strategies or mitigations to address international threats;
· Minimum 3 years experience working with physical security principles, operations, systems, and processes;
· Minimum 3 years of experience conducting data collection and analysis to inform leadership decisions.
