This is the right role for someone who has some experience in operations, DevOps, or software engineering in the past, but wants to focus on building, advising, and teaching our partner community through scalable and programatic interactions. This role serves as the technical face of AWS to the partner community, specifically startups. Passion for new and progressive technology is a requirement for this position. This team works with startups that are using just about anything technology wise, so it is important to be a generalist that can collaborate with other teams.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work directly with AWS engineering teams and startup partners. You will be helping to prioritize product roadmaps, assisting with architecture design, and helping startups promote their products. We also do some work with partners at scale, writing technical papers, participating in webinars, and speaking at conferences.

Your broad responsibilities will include owning the technical engagement with startups that are AWS partners, as well as managing technical enablement of our internal Partner Development teams.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skills in software architecture, development, and operations. Strong communication skills are important in this role.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Support high scale partner development business team
· Advise partners on opportunities to grow their business in the cloud
· Provide architectural guidance for startups that are building products on AWS
· Capture and share field learnings with internal engineering teams
· Write technical white papers, blog posts, and provide specific technical guidance to partner engineering teams
· Promote partners internally and externally with webinars and speaking opportunities
· Turn big ideas into products and services, and help influence the direction of AWS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Recent experience working at or with startups.
· Broad knowledge of the cloud technology partner ecosystem and related products.
· Experience writing and publishing technical documents.
· Deep expertise in at least one of these technology areas: devops, containers, serverless, application/cloud-native development and design, CICD

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 5+ years of hands on experience in software development, systems administration, or both.
· Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or related field OR equivalent work experience.
