DESCRIPTION

Amazon is growing its external payments operations aggressively in India. In this context, the Amazon Payments India Sales team is looking for Sales Assistant –Amazon Pay who will help existing offline merchants grow their business. You should be an effective communicator, quick to learn new tools and systems, and flexible in the face of changes. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is comfortable working within deadlines.

As a sales assistant with Amazon Pay India Pvt. Ltd., you will be focused on managing offline merchants in India to enable Amazon Pay at their stores. Ideal candidate should have previous post sales experience in managing B2B business accounts or partnerships, which will form the core of your merchant engagement. The candidate should be able to help manage merchant operations and understand the opportunity with Amazon payments to grow their business. To be successful in this role you should have superior communication, presentation, training and organizational skills. Operating in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment you will work autonomously taking full control and responsibility for achieving business objectives. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever changing business climate.

Role and Responsibilities:
Working in a dynamic sales environment you will be responsible for managing key merchant accounts, qualify, negotiate and close contracts with merchants for payment services offered including “Amazon Pay”. Your success will be measured by growth in payment volume of existing merchants & managing the activation rates of the merchant outlets. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to think about payment challenges and how to resolve merchant issues permanently.
In addition to driving merchant engagement the candidate will also be responsible for the following activities:
· Establish long term partnerships with key partners to scale up merchant acquisition.
· Support the launches of new programs, categories and features for the merchant.

- Support the merchant in managing their financial reconciliation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· Educated to a degree in a business or in a technical discipline
· Demonstrated track record of success in sales & operations role
· Passionate about digital payments and understanding customer pain points.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to face external and internal partners in a professional and mature manner, and strong ability to handle objections
· Desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment
