The Materials Compliance Analyst (MCA) will be an integral part of the Materials Compliance team, helping to ensure compliance with Amazon Robotics’ policies and global regulatory requirements regarding material composition. The MCA will work with product managers, design engineers, and product suppliers to educate them about relevant requirements. They will determine and maintain compliance throughout the product life-cycle, including initial releases and subsequent changes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Work with materials suppliers to obtain full material disclosures (FMD), certificates of compliance (COC), laboratory testing reports and other requisite documentation
· Review FMD, COC, and analytical reports for materials and made-to-spec parts/assemblies; analyze the data to evaluate compliance with relevant regulations
· Complete Bills of Substances for new materials and evaluate existing materials against new regulations/regulated substances to ensure initial and continued compliance
· Support the continuous improvement of the overall materials compliance strategy; document policies and procedures
· Review and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs) prior to release
· Perform risk assessments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters’s degree in Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or equivalent related work experience
· Experience reviewing bills of substances and evaluating materials compliance to global chemical/substance regulations
· Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with materials compliance
· Working knowledge of regulations and requirements including, but not limited to, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Packaging Directive, Battery Directive, and Proposition 65
· Experience in high-speed, high-technology design/manufacturing environment
· Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
· Self-motivated, goal oriented, task driven team player
· Strong chemistry and analytical skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Experience with AGILE PLM system, PG&C Module, or similar PLM system
· Must be willing to work out of the North Reading and Westborough offices
