Role Overview

The EU Supply Chain team is looking for a Manager for its Inventory Placement Analytics team. Within the Inventory placement team, you will develop new ways to tackle the trade offs we're facing to increase or speed to deliver to customers, reduce speed while managing the network physical constraints. This role will give you a unique view on Amazon systems, process and operations, interacting with business teams, planning teams, fulfillment centers and technical teams.

You will feed our systems and models with new insights, identify defects in our processes, leaving no stone un-turned to delight our customers.

This position is based out of our EU Headquarters in Luxembourg.

Responsibilities

You will :
- Own, develop and manage a team of 2-3 direct reports
- Own key placement metrics and ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Drive change through trials in production and lab the impact
- Develop the analytics required to visualize opportunities and measure progresses on those improvement opportunities
- Support the team implement new ideas into production through coordination with operations, planning and system owners

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Knowledge of R / Python / any tool allowing visualization and automation will help you go further in your job

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Master degree in a scientific subject / mechanical engineering / supply chain management
- 5 years of experience in a highly analytical environment with an experience in management
- Strong data analysis skills, ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data
- Organized, self-starter and a quick learner.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be an independent problem solver that can make high quality judgments and decisions quickly with excellent organization skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must have
- Excellent communicating skills coupled with ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the company is required
- Experience of dealing with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes
