You will be a part of the Data Center Global Services (DCGS) organization, which is in charge of designing, building, and equipping AWS DC. To continuously improve the way DCGS delivers capacity to AWS, our team Infra Solutions (ISOL) develops the technology that will be used to power, and run the most efficient DC. Job Summary:
As a ML expert, you will be tackling machine learning challenges in supervised and unsupervised learning. In this role, you will get hands-on experience leading multiple simultaneous product development initiatives. You will utilize ML techniques such as Deep Neural Network to build predictive and optimization models for improving data center performance. You will work with internal inter disciplinary team and outside teams to identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning techniques in AWS data centers. You will strive for simplicity, and demonstrate significant creativity and high judgment backed by statistical proof.

Primary responsibilities:
· Use ML and analytical techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems.
· Work closely with other engineers to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations.
· Collaborate with scientists in AI labs and data science teams to share and imbibe learning for model improvements.
· Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.
· Research and implement novel machine learning and statistical approaches.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience in a ML role.
- Knowledge of building products and/or services on AWS.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data mining and data analytics techniques.
- Data center infrastructure or HVAC background. Basic understanding of data center cooling and electrical systems.
- Have a history of building systems that capture and utilize large data sets for system automation and performance improvements.
- Experience in computer science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm design.
- Understanding of EPMS and BMS systems.
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
- Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Math or equivalent highly technical field.
- Proficient using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting language; command line usage.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing ML models and methods such as neural networks, reinforcement learning, random forests, SVMs or Bayesian classification.
- Strong foundation in machine learning, data mining and data analytics techniques.
