Job description

DESCRIPTION

About Us: Join us as we launch a new Amazon grocery store. We are passionate about creating a shopping experience that customers will love. If you are customer-obsessed, like learning new things, and want to contribute to end-to-end store operations for a new business, this is the place for you!

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment? Do you have a focus on inventing learning solutions instead of replicating what's already been done?
We are looking for a customer-obsessed Instructional Designer who will be responsible for overseeing training delivery, instructional development and knowledge assets. Your work will creatively use instructional design, learning methods, videography, and appropriate technologies to enhance learning and engage learners through blended learning solutions.
You are comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You understand adult learning in addition to being a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for excellent customer service. You are also willing to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done while insisting on the highest standards.
The Team: How often have you had an opportunity to be a member of a team creating a unique customer experience? You can expect all the challenges and benefits of a high-profile business: wide-open space for improvement and innovation, a strong team, and a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will require a willingness to dive into the details, solve new problems as they arise, leverage high judgment and gut instinct, look around corners, and always obsess over customers. Everyone on the team wears multiple hats, and ownership of the customer experience is key.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Develop innovative solutions to knowledge and skill gaps through training and an advanced use of technology
· Design, develop, and scale quality, full-cycle learning solutions, performance support aids, knowledge assessments, and other materials needed to meet identified business needs
· Establish and maintain appropriate mechanisms for evaluating effectiveness of learning solutions
· Maintain current training materials throughout product updates, competitor updates, process changes, and product life-cycle mechanisms
• Utilize project management skills to define and meet project milestones, communicate issues and risks in a timely manner, and manage customer expectations
· Organize (and manage) learning content, using mobile training applications and internal learning management systems (LMS)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated ability to anticipate and manage change in a highly dynamic environment
· Demonstrated ability to work with Director level stakeholders
· 3 years of experience in a retail operations environment
· Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication abilities including skills in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts, global stakeholders, and managers.
· Acute attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
· Proven experience designing and delivering customer-facing content under tight deadlines
· Can conceptualize technical/functional content into something creative and effective.
· Adaptable - ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and thrive in a complex, ambiguous environment
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality
· Ability to take initiative, be proactive without waiting for direction
· Project management skills including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
