DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced learning and training leader to drive the development and readiness of our global AWS Educate members. This means identifying gaps, developing programs, landing those programs as well as executing against our institution content adoption and integration priorities. This role will be responsible for improving content integration and utilization of our AWS Educate worldwide member institutions from the initial onboarding to training through to adoption across our portfolio of content offerings, assessments and training framework. This includes leading needs analysis, setting global content and training strategy and direction, working with instructional designers and subject matter experts to develop or modify programs that impact our global regions. The Global Content Enablement & Training Head will continually dive deep to understand the regional learning needs, using data and insights into the business to build or adapt learning methods, materials or technology that will support the specific regional members.

The Global Content Enablement & Training Head for AWS Educate will be responsible for ensuring the regional teams and their support partner organizations are well-equipped with the content, training, knowledge of available content resources, and core curriculum necessary to effectively adapt AWS Educate to the localized needs of their learners and institution. This individual will be responsible for building flexible and sustainable content and training enablement practices and aligned programs focused on capability development of our global member institutions. Additionally, this individual will also support the creation of change management plans focused on driving AWS Educate program global awareness, adoption and impact.

The individual will work across various teams (i.e., content, localization, product, marketing, business development) to develop an impactful and scalable content enablement and training strategy. The successful candidate will combine a solid understanding of content development or training and development experience with the ability to assess and map regional content requirements into a comprehensive content enablement plan that scales globally. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively across multiple non-technical business units, as well as across other culture and geographies. This is a hands-on position - the ideal candidate must be willing to “roll up the sleeves” and get things done.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
· Perform detailed business needs assessments in coordination with the regional business development teams, content team and product team to uncover gaps and roadblocks to content adoption and integration. Translate business needs into a content enablement plan for the broader regional teams as well as customize the plan for specific regional partner initiatives.
· Create, develop, manage, and lead the successful execution of the global content enablement and training programs in conjunction with business development leads.
· Assist in the development of the master plan and calendar for content enablement and training activities throughout the year.
· Develop and maintain an effective governance process focused on providing timely and targeted content for enablement and continuously improving the member content utilization and learning outcomes.
· Design and implement metrics to measure training programs and impact, effectiveness, appropriateness, and utility. Measure and report on the effectiveness of content training investments.
· Review and manage the existing content library to determine opportunities to improve the learning experience, ensure the content is current and relevant and best technology is employed.
· This role requires travel approximately 30% time

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as business, education, instructional design, organizational development or equivalent experience
· At least 7+ years' experience in the areas of operational management and learning and development with increasing levels of responsibility and scope
· At least 5+ years of Product Management experience with increasing influence and responsibility
· At least 5+ years building/managing programs for a global audience/end user
