Within Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A), we enjoy a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon. As part of that, this role would be part of a team that is responsible for Company's enterprise-wide financial planning & analytics environment.

Within Amazon's Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A), is looking for a Cognos Application Engineer & Administrator to drive the growth and adoption of Cognos TM1, BI, Planning, SPSS, Disclosure Management and the AWS cloud platform. This position requires knowledge of key Cognos applications (BI or TM1).

This position offers unique learning opportunities in the areas of AWS Infrastructure, RHEL, Cognos Suite, and AWS Services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Typical tasks and responsibilities
· Administer & monitor multiple Cognos TM1 or BI applications
· Solve both tactical and strategic problems simultaneously
· Deploy reports/packages to all environments
· Resolve Problem Management and Resolution tickets
· Ensure environment security follows best practices
· Cognos application development and maintenance experience
· Act as the technical leader for application support and enhancement issues
· Plan and schedule Cognos administration projects; provide technical vision and leadership
· Monitor Cognos environments to provide usage and performance metrics
· Perform some production support duties during off-hours, on rotation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have 5+ years of hands-on Cognos TM1 or BI applications experience including:
· Requirement Gathering, Design, Develop, Maintain, Performance Tuning.
· Experience with complex multi-server environments
· Experience with High Availability environments (24/7)
· In-depth knowledge of the causes and remedies of performance issues within the Cognos environment.
· Demonstrated excellence in consultation, presentation, verbal, and written communications skills.
· Ability to work effectively with business customers & users
