DESCRIPTION

The Compliance Operations team (C-Ops) ensures Amazon transactions satisfy legal and safety requirements, by coordinating aspects of product transactions that are regulated (distribution, shipping, sale, and import/export).
As part of this organisation, the Automation Team provides support to the operational team in automating process flows. We develop tools (e.g. Python, Javascript, HTML AWS hosted apps, VBA) in order to eliminate/reduce manual inputs at an operational level.
As an IT App Dev Engineer in C-Ops Automation you will have the following responsibilities:
· Work with other engineers and product managers on the team on building and maintaining software applications that eliminate or reduce manual steps for thousands of employees WW.
· Facilitate the exchange of ideas, tools, tips & tricks among the different operational teams in your region.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a Bachelor in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
· Excellent problem solving skills.
· Interact with business customers to understand and document their business processes and requirements.
· Design and implement system modifications.
· Understanding of basic data structures and algorithms, knowledge on how to employ them effectively, and when more complex data structures and algorithms are suitable for the task.
· Experience on developing web based applications using HTML, Javascript.
· Proficiency with RDBMS technology fundamentals, data modelling, SQL, and query optimization.
· Perform gap analysis to determine system configuration and development changes for tools owned by the team.
