The EU Relay Operations Centre (ROC) in Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is the nerve centre and frontline for managing flow of the Amazon transportation network starting from inbound inventory to our fulfilment centres, imports from international vendors, outbound shipment to customers, reverse logistics movements to fleet management, repairs and repositioning. We respond to any and all network flow disruptions and exceptions, partnering with Supply Chain, Fulfilment Centres, Sortation Centres, Delivery Stations, third party carriers and vendors, making fast decisions using data and analytics, and delivering quick actions to ensure we meet the highest standards for delivery to our customers. We excel at engaging with people and teams across all aspects of the complex Amazon network, building streamlined processes and partnering with technology to respond faster, recover efficiently and deliver better results for customers. We are located across five offices in four countries United Kingdom (Leicester and Luton), Spain (Barcelona), Czech Republic (Prague) and India (Hyderabad).

The Transportation Process Lead is designed as an entry-role for graduates interested in careers in operations and supply chain to provide an immersive experience to learn hands-on execution of operational functions and develop critical management and leadership skills to empower further development into operational leadership roles in Amazon. In this role, you will manage a team of Transport Specialists ensuring any disruptions or exceptions are managed to ensure the transportation network continues to flow. Your key stakeholders will include key transportation partners described earlier, customer service, finance and operational planning teams with whom you will develop a strong working relationship to continue to innovate and simplify the transportation processes.

An ideal candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will make real time operational decisions, engage with stakeholders, and provide visibility to senior leadership of day-to-day operations. You will lead and motivate a team of transportation specialists, and will be responsible for execution and deliver results across four key areas - safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.
· Review demand forecasts and determine your productivity requirements to execute during the day to meet the overall transportation objectives
· Partner with other Transportation Process Leads to balance labour ensuring that you are operating a balanced and efficient shift while meeting all shift goals
· Investigate defects whenever they occur, learning everything about it and develop solutions with partners to mitigate current and any future impacts
· Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
· Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and development of lean tools
· Coach and develop your team to meet the shift goals and objectives

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Management, Science, Technology, Engineering or a related field
· Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
· Adept at analytical work and the ability to motivate others in a deadline-driven environment
· Ability to dive deep into data and provide thought-provoking, workable business solutions
· Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Conversational fluency in English and Spanish
