The Global IT Communication Systems team at Amazon is looking for a Senior Engineer to support our collaboration infrastructure worldwide. Your peers will be systems and network engineers working to make our collaboration platforms more capable, scalable, reliable and efficient.

Responsibilities include:
· Supporting a multi-vendor voice and video solution to embraces Amazon’s growth globally
· Manage and monitor the performance of Amazon voice, video, conferencing and e-fax infrastructure to ensure we deliver the highest standards to our internal customers
· Work with the Global IT Communication System developers on building tools and improvements
· Work with cross-functional teams on supporting ongoing designs and operational excellence efforts
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and other support teams
· Review and implement any security focused initiatives that pertains to real time communications

Our ideal candidate is detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has a track record of supporting video technologies while supporting the building of automation and tools. Exposure to supporting large scale enterprise systems while inventing new ways to bring self-service features to customers. The ability to interact with not only peers but also senior management and customers at a global scale is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with templating schemas such as XML, YAML
· Familiar with various automation tools such as Jenkins, GitHub
· Experience in lab-testing & certification of networking/voice devices
· Experience working with carriers to provision, install, and operate both voice and data networks
· Working knowledge of TDM and telecommunications fundamentals
· Experience with process improvements at a large scale across global teams

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS in an engineering or relevant experience.
· 3+ years’ experience on Broadworks maintenance and provisioning
· Proficient of TCP/IP networking and routing protocols, with strong emphasis on VoIP protocols (SIP,RTP, sRTP and TLS)
· Deep understanding of the Local Number Portability (LNP) process
· Knowledgeable of the concept of Session Boarder Controllers (SBCs)
· Troubleshooting specific video and network related issues
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
· Experience in Linux systems administration
· Enterprise level expertise with Audiocodes Mediant 1000 gateways and SBCs
· Experience with AWS cloud technologies including EC2, S3, Elastic Search, CloudWatch, RDS and DynamoDB
· 3+ years scripting in Python, Perl, Java or Ruby
· Experience managing complex technical projects
