AWS CloudWatch Logs (we) enables customers to centralize logs from all of their systems, applications, and AWS services in a single, highly scalable service. We are seeking a talented and seasoned front end engineer to join our team.
Our team is looking for a software engineer to design, develop, test, deploy and manage some of our new services, or redesig parts of our existing systems for increasing levels of scale and efficiency. You will deliver large-scale, high-performance production systems, design new software systems at the cutting edge of distributed database technology and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business results.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other senior and principal engineers who are domain experts at AWS to help you deepen your expertise in distributed systems, query engines, open source applications, performance optimization, and operational excellence.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with logging infrastructure and systems or search systems.
· Experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, Kinesis, DynamoDB, for example.
· Experience with Kafka, Cassandra, Hadoop, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or other.
· Depth in data structures and algorithms, especially dealing with concurrency and scaling.
· Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
· Experience with Agile engineering practices (continuous integration, TDD, etc.)

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
