Here's your chance to have a direct impact on improving the experience that millions of customers around the world have with Amazon.The Amazon Outbound team, which is responsible for push and email messages, seeks a talented Front-End Engineer to lead the development and continuous improvement of our customer messaging experience. In this role, you will work on design and feature ideas with customers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to invent, design, and build customer experiences that are innovative and engaging, while also highly scalable, stable, performant, secure, and accessibility compliant. We design user experiences that are relevant and inspiring, enable customers to explore what interests them, and take action. In this role, you will be a significant and autonomous contributor, where you will be solving difficult front-end engineering problems, applying appropriate technologies, UX patterns, and best practices. The successful candidate will be proficient in view layout and rendering technologies (e.g., responsiveness, device/browser support, progressive enhancement, interaction fluidity) and know when it is appropriate to make graceful fallbacks. She or he will also have a strong focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, and contribute to the evolution of the team's engineering practices (front-end and/or back-end), implementing improvements in development processes, code maintenance, testing, and auditing product performance. Key to the role is the ability to foster a constructive dialogue across a diverse sprint team, focused on continuous learning and new possibilities.

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
· 4+ years of professional front end development.
· Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks and CSS pre-processors.
· Experience with jQuery, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Ractive, Ember, or Angular, along with the knowledge of when to use them.
· Experience with responsive design, as well as cross-browser development and testing.
· Experience building rich data-driven web applications by consuming RESTful services and APIs.
· Experience working on an agile team in 2-week sprints.
