Here's your chance to have a direct impact on improving the experience that millions of customers around the world have with Amazon.The Amazon Outbound team, which is responsible for push and email messages, seeks a talented Front-End Engineer to lead the development and continuous improvement of our customer messaging experience. In this role, you will work on design and feature ideas with customers, designers, product managers, and stakeholders to invent, design, and build customer experiences that are innovative and engaging, while also highly scalable, stable, performant, secure, and accessibility compliant. In this role, you will use technology to solve user interface and UX problems, collaborating with other engineers. The successful candidate will be able to take a defined software and UX design, and deliver it on schedule using languages, libraries, and rendering technologies (e.g., web: JavaScript, Node.js, templating languages, HTML, CSS; mobile: Java, Objective-C, Swift, C#, webviews, view frameworks), and retrieve data from existing sources using appropriate technologies for your platform and use case (e.g., web: AJAX, fetch; mobile: SQLite, native libraries). We are a highly collaborative team and you'll participate in team planning, design, scoping, and prioritization discussions. You'll work backwards from the customer and collaborate with Product and Design to iterate on the best possible user experience. A key part of your role will be making sure your team team stays current with the rapid evolution in user experiences (e.g., web/mobile/device innovations, and changes in how consumers interact with digital content.), and that the
code you inherit and produce is well written, maintained, and documented.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
· 2+ years of professional front end development.
· Experience with modern web technologies and techniques such as HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks and CSS pre-processors.
· Experience with jQuery, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Redux, Ractive, Ember, or Angular, along with the knowledge of when to use them.
· Experience with responsive design, as well as cross-browser development and testing.
· Experience building rich data-driven web applications by consuming RESTful services and APIs.
· Experience working on an agile team in 2-week sprints.
