As a Food Production Cook you will work in our offsite kitchen to produce Amazon Go’s branded selection of ready-to-eat meals, snacks, and meal kits available in the Amazon Go stores. We make high quality food products that require exceptional attention to detail to produce. We are all about effective processes, consistently ensuring we are always operating at a highly efficient level. We are a fast paced food production team that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our stores and customers.

As a Food Production Cook, you execute the extremely detailed preparation for our ready-to-eat meals and snacks available in local Amazon Go stores. You contribute to a successful team culture by owning your work, delivering on your goals, jumping in on tasks when asked to help, and remaining flexible to change. You possess strong attention to detail, the ability to quickly prioritize tasks, are a team player, and always stay motivated even when doing repetitive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
· Food and sauce preparation
· Raw and cooked protein production
· Bulk production of starches and carbs
· Properly cleaning and sanitizing preparation surfaces
· Kit multiple parts of a recipe into a single product
· Coaching others on food safety, cleaning, and sanitizing techniques

Job Requirements
· High level of overall cooking knowledge and ability to follow complex recipe steps
· Strong knowledge of food safety
· Strong attention to detail
· Understanding of food quality control
· Understanding of proper food storage, cooking temperatures, cooling, and sanitation
· Professional/Advanced knife skills
· Physical essential functions - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and ability to stand on your feet for up to 8 hrs at a time with or without reasonable accommodation
· Able to obtain local food handling certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Understanding of HACCP protocol and implementation
· Ability to carry out tasks quickly and accurately
· Ability to retain focus while tackling repetitive tasks

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· High School diploma or equivalent diploma
· 2+ years working with perishable foods requiring preparation, such as produce, deli, bakery, meat, seafood or prepared meals, or Amazon Food Production experience
· Experience working in food production or a food kitchen
