Job description

DESCRIPTION

Come and join the Kindle Bookstore team in Japan and be part of history in the making!

We are seeking an innovative, results-oriented executive assistant to join our Kindle Content team. An integral part of the team, you will be supporting the General Manager of Kindle Bookstore, the senior leadership team and will be part of the glue that helps our team operate efficiently, effectively and happily.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing meetings, events, activities, and calendars
· Management of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements across time zones
· Understand the business to help maximize team’s time. Help prioritize the right meetings for your leaders and the overall team. Work with partner teams to understand the broader business rhythm and anticipate business and calendaring needs.
· Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events)
· Work closely with the leadership team, recruiting and other Executive Assistants across the Japan, WWKindle and other Amazon organizations.
· Management of team space, including moves and reconfigurations
· Manage domestic and international travel as needed
· Have fun at work and help others do the same!
YOU:

You’re smart, organized, energetic, self-motivated. You want more than a “job”: you want a role in which you can strongly contribute, learn and be challenged. You have proven ownership, and the ability to look around corners to plan ahead and to serve as a firm and steady anchor to ensure that the team remains focused.

You know how to ask the right questions and get access to the right information to adeptly manage schedules: you excel at real-time prioritization and manage complicated calendaring tasks with diplomacy and discretion. You react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround and know when to escalate for clarification or to make progress. You work collaboratively and effectively with other Executive Assistants and the broader team to quickly achieve results.

You thrive in a start-up environment: you enjoy change; you’re flexible; you not only have the ability to meet tight deadlines, you enjoy the challenge. You have the ability to change direction and switch gears at a moment’s notice; you are a superb multi-tasker. You have the capability to take effective action without having to know the total picture. You have the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly and with little guidance.

You’re a good writer and a clear communicator. You have great judgment and superior problem-solving skills.
