Job Title: Design Technologist III

Location: Seattle, WA

Position Responsibilities:

Actively participate in concept development and design iteration as part of a cross-functional team that includes product management, front and backend development, business development, and internal business partners and other subject matter experts. Rapidly build and iterate on appropriate-fidelity prototypes that express design intent, using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task. Develop functional prototypes to inform investment decisions made by development teams and senior leadership. Work through and around perceived limitations and/or challenges imposed by the delivery platform to create delightful experiences for customers. Lead others and set direction, and scope work accurately in the face of ambiguity. Participate in annual planning and end-to-end design process. Evaluate and document any new creative and/or engineering standards or patterns that could arise from work. Effectively present and explain prototypes and designs to stakeholders and leadership. Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the vision of future products, applications and experiences and partner with engineering to ensure that vision is realized. Remain up to date with the latest UX design and technology trends, understanding when to use them and how to adapt them to product use cases at scale.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Position Requirements:

Bachelor ’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or as a creative technologist, front-end developer or UX Designer/ Proto typer , or a related occupation. Employer will accept seven years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor’ s degree and five years of experience. Must have three years of experience in the following skill(s): building prototypes to advance design thinking and the final web or mobile product experience; development of user-centered design solutions across multiple product categories and domains; and using HTML, CSS3, and JavaScript.
