As a Data Engineer in Workforce Intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to display and develop your skills in the following areas:
· Interface with PMs, business customers, data scientists, research scientists, business intelligence engineers and software developers to understand requirements and implement solutions which will have an immediate influence on day-to-day decision making.
· Design, develop, and operate highly-scalable, high-performance, low-cost, and accurate data pipelines in distributed data processing platforms with AWS technologies providing ad hoc access to large datasets and computing power
· Explore and learn the latest AWS big data technologies, evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products to design the data architecture
· Recognize and adopt best practices in data processing, reporting, and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with building data pipelines and applications to stream and process datasets at low latencies.
· Demonstrate efficiency in handling data - tracking data lineage, ensuring data quality, and improving discoverability of data.
· Sound knowledge of distributed systems and data architecture - design and implement batch and stream data processing pipelines, knows how to optimize the distribution, partitioning, and MPP of high-level data structures.
· Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
· Experience with AWS Tools and Technologies (S3, EC2, Data Pipeline, Lambdas, Redshift, Aurora DB, Dynamo DB, Kinesis Streams etc.).
· Experience in handling Infrastructure as code and orchestration as code.
· Experience providing technical leadership and mentor other engineers for the best practices on the data engineering space

Desired profile



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 7+ years industry experience
· Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
· Data Warehousing Experience with Oracle, Redshift, Teradata, etc.
· Advanced SQL and query performance tuning skills.
· Coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python, Java).
· Experience operating very large data warehouses or data lakes.
· Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
· Effective analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
