The Product Catalog is a strategic asset for Amazon. It powers unrivaled product discovery, informs customer buying decisions, offers a huge selection across a large number of categories and positions Amazon as the first stop for shopping online. Amazon Catalog Systems is looking for a customer-focused Data Engineer to help us make the world's best product catalog even better and improve the experience for millions of customers. You will analyze how information within Amazon's catalog affects our customers and help devise short term and long-term strategy for building metrics and insights, utilizing state-of-the-art big data and analytic tools. You should have deep expertise in the design, creation, management, and business use of large datasets and combining data from different data sources. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with business owners to develop and define key business questions, and to build data sets that answer those questions. Above all you should have strong curiosity and willingness to rapidly experiment to draw insights and drive change.

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
· 3+ years of relevant experience in business intelligence or business analyst role or building comparable consumer analytics solutions.
· Demonstrated strength in SQL, data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing.
· Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools. (e.g. Tableau, QuickSight etc)
