DESCRIPTION

Are you interested in innovating to deliver a world-class level of service to Amazon’s Vendors and Selling Partners?

We are looking for a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to help build/enhance the global communications platform between millions of Customers and third-party Sellers. You will own many large datasets, implement new data pipelines that feed into or from critical data systems at Amazon, and your insights will impact millions of Customers, Vendors and Sellers who communicate with each other for mission-critical use cases every day.

Responsibilities:

· Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon’s data resources and know how, when, and which to use.
·
· Collaborate with finance and product management teams as a leader of quantitative analysis.
·
· Understand and write high quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data.
·
· Create and design the reports and metrics for tracking business and product success.
·
· Work closely with business owners to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis for better decision making
·
· Collaborate with data engineers to build self-service reporting platforms, and establishing automated processes for large scale data analyses.
·
· Perform in-depth analysis and identification of the root cause of key business issues.
·
· Identify areas that require more advanced analytical analysis and work with data scientists to conduct such analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications
· 7+ years of industry experience as a Business Intelligence Engineer or related specialty (e.g., Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Scientist)

·Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting and analysis.
-Experience with big data and object oriented programming languages (python, ruby, etc.)
-Experience in Machine learning (decision trees, multivariate and logistic regression, kNN, kMeans, etc.).

-Experience with data visualization software such as Tableau

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications
· Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline
· 5+ years of industry experience in software development, data engineering, business intelligence, data science, or related field with a track record of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large datasets
· Experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects, Cognos, etc.)
· A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment.
