Amazon is looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Entry-Level Data Center Technician to provide hands on support for its Data Center location.

We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. Scope of work includes: Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and coordination with Data Center Manager; troubleshooting and repairing servers with hardware and network issues. Work involves hardware diagnostic and replacement of failed components. Must be able to work effectively with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities.
Technician will be allocated in the São Paulo state, however will also provide remote support to other Data Centers in the region when required. They will be responsible for day to day incident management of servers, networking equipment and cabling.

The Data Center Operations is a 24x7 team and this position covers non-business hours.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Server reboots
• Broken server components replacement
• Network gear installation
• Inventory components as they arrive
• Troubleshoot server hardware and software component failures using ticketing system
• Hands on experience with network cabling.
• Entry-level experience with Linux, Unix or similar OS.
• Highly organized and able to follow procedures to accomplish tasks.
• Familiarity with Data Center environment
• Strong desire to learn

• Self-starter who is excited about technology

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Ongoing graduation on IT or related areas
• 3 to 6 months of IT Infrastructure or Help desk support experience;
• Network cabling knowledge
• Able to follow a well-defined technical SOP
• Must exhibit good written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to travel locally and internationally;
